Kelly
My name is Kelly, and I’m a Content Manager at MDPM. My love of writing began when I took my first journalism class in high school. When I discovered I had a knack for the written word, my whole world opened up, and I began writing short stories and angst-ridden teenage poetry as well.
In college, I majored in English because I couldn’t imagine studying anything else. I had no aspirations to teach, so when people would ask what I was going to do with my degree, I told them I was going to be a famous writer. Call it youthful idealism or just plain cockiness—either way, I knew what brought me bliss early on.
Alas, the fame and riches weren’t forthcoming, so I decided to finally do something practical and get my Master of Library Science Degree at the University of North Texas. I worked as a catalog librarian for a few years and really enjoyed it, but I quickly became the go-to person whenever documentation needed to be written for my department. I realized I enjoyed the writing part of my job more than the cataloging, so I eventually left librarianship and decided to try my hand at a writing career again. I started freelancing a couple of years ago and eventually landed my job at MDPM writing about oral health and loving every minute of it.
When I’m not writing about dentistry, I enjoy spending time with my two children, watching British comedies, and working on that novel that will one day make me famous.
