So You Don’t Know How to Use a Blog
This is a pretty general statement, but if it describes you, then settle in and read this post.
If you don’t know how to use blogging software, like WordPress or Blogger…
These are the most popular free blogging tools. WordPress actually has two options, wordpress.com and wordpress.org. The .com allows hosting with WordPress. Customization is somewhat limited. The .org version allows more customization and access to the code, as well as hosting on an outside server. At MDPM, we prefer WordPress.org, even though Blogger is owned by Google. WordPress seems to offer more customization and flexibility overall.
Using Blogger or WordPress is not hard, but it will take some time to learn your way around. The same is true of learning any software. Both blog tools offer limited support, FAQs, forums, and you can find tips and information on Google or YouTube. You can learn how to create, optimize, and maintain an excellent blog. But, if you don’t have the time or inclination to become a blogger, call MDPM. Our primary purpose is to build and maintain blogs for dentists. Sure, we design awesome websites and know our way around SEO, but blogging was the first service we offered, and we hold it near and dear to our hearts!
