The Evolution of a Dental Logo

So how does MDPM help our client dentists decide on a logo design? After a comprehensive interview, assessment of current marketing, profiling target patients, and discussing the office decor and color scheme, our graphic artists get to work. I want to share with you, visually, the process of logo design.

This client is located in the desert, but near a forest. He wanted a logo that reflected nature, yet appealed to cosmetic dentistry patients and adults age 30-60. After the preliminary concepts, we determined that since his current patient base is older, but he wants to appeal to baby boomers and younger, the logo should be easy to read, yet high-end, like a department store brand. The dental practice was established 30 years ago, but recently a young partner joined the original dentist. The question was, how do we appeal to younger patients without coming off as too youthful to existing patients?

Here are just a few of the comps we created.
